Armageddon shows an early version of a side-scrolling space shooter with striking backgrounds and strong visual ambition. You guide your ship through alien landscapes, fire at enemies, and already get a sense of how action-packed the finished game might have become. The preview feels mainly like a technical and artistic glimpse, with atmosphere and presentation taking center stage. That makes Armageddon [Preview] an intriguing fragment that promises more than it ultimately had the chance to deliver.
