"Asteroids Emulator" brings the 1979 arcade classic "Asteroids" faithfully to the Commodore 64. Unlike a typical port, this program emulates the actual arcade machine's code directly on the C64 – the original CPU is interpreted by the 6510 processor, while video and sound are simulated by the emulator. The result is a gameplay experience that closely mirrors the original machine, complete with its distinctive controls and minimalist vector graphics. A technical achievement that delivers pure retro charm.
