The Blade of Blackpoole is an illustrated text adventure set in a medieval fantasy world. Your quest is to recover the legendary sword Myraglym, last seen at the Lake of Blackpoole. Along the way you'll traverse forests, swamps, labyrinths, and cliffs, while facing deadly foes such as a talking carnivorous plant, a lizard man, and a hungry sea monster. Helpful characters may also appear, offering riddles that hold clues to earning their aid. With 60 illustrated locations, an inventory limit, and complex command recognition, the game demands both strategy and problem-solving. Your ultimate goal is to solve every puzzle, claim the sword, and achieve the maximum score of 500 points.
