Broadsides takes you back to the Napoleonic era, simulating battles between sailing ships. You can jump straight into arcade action, steering, maneuvering, and firing rapidly, or choose the tactical mode, making the same decisions real captains faced from the quarterdeck. Beyond the historical ships, you can design your own vessels, from armament to crew. Victory comes by sinking the enemy or scoring enough points to force surrender. Defeat comes if too much of your crew is lost or if boarding enemies overwhelm your ship. If both ships sink, or no result is reached by 6 pm, the battle ends in a draw.
