Concorde Landing Simulation
Commodore 64 · WOR
Concorde Landing Simulation puts you in the cockpit of the legendary supersonic jet during a challenging landing sequence in real time. Your flight begins at 48,000 feet, 35 miles from the airport, traveling at Mach 1.75. From this point on, you must gradually reduce altitude and speed following instructions from ground control to initiate a precise approach. The aircraft responds using realistic jet flight controls – pitch, throttle and roll are managed through a numerical keypad. You can also lower the undercarriage and drop the nose to improve visibility during landing. The Concorde can remain stable at lower speeds, but approach velocity should not fall below 180 knots. The landing must occur precisely within the first segment of the runway – otherwise, the mission ends in disaster.
