After your adventure in the Vault of Terror, the kingdom of Sarnoth returned to peace. The king rewarded you with a cottage by the sea and a generous pension for your retirement. Your battle against the Naga, an evil serpent race, had drained your soul. You felt like a weary knight without challenges and laid down your sword. But the world was changing - dragons had become extinct, and wizards were rare. One night, the king called upon you for help: a demon had kidnapped the princess, and you were to rescue her from the crypt of Shadowthorn Mountain. You set out on your journey, gathering important items and battling the beasts of the crypt, all in an effort to defeat the Demigorgon and save the princess.
