Dick Swanson is an adventure game in two parts, where you follow young caver Dick Swanson from Cardiff. After many attempts, he finally secures funding for an expedition deep into Africa to recover the remains of a meteorite believed to have disrupted the natural balance of the region. The impact location is vague, so Dick travels to Kisangani in what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Just before departure, he receives an anonymous letter warning him about Professor Lassale – a wanted man known for theft, murder, and abusing scientific discoveries. In part one, Dick must find a map said by locals to show where the meteorite fell in 1671, while avoiding Lassale. Building trust with local tribes and staying vigilant is key to survival.
