The Dolphin's Rune is an unusual blend of action and puzzle, placing you in control of a dolphin exploring a vast ocean world. You learn to swim gracefully, avoid sharks and resurface for air—while steering clear of tuna nets above. Beneath the waves you must find “color currents,” underwater tunnels that push you around unless you navigate them skillfully. Mastering these brings vision-like dream sequences filled with symbols and distinctive dolphin clicks and whistles you must remember. These sounds guide you to new color currents, mysterious seabed runes and hieroglyph fragments that can be deciphered with the included “Dolphinese-English Dictionary.” Each discovery reveals another layer of meaning—and ultimately hints at the location of a real hidden pearl somewhere in America.
