Dragonriders of Pern puts you in the role of a Weyrleader negotiating alliances and battling the deadly Thread threatening the world. In diplomatic rounds, you convince Lord Holders or Craftsmasters, while events like dragon hatchings boost your influence. If diplomacy fails, dueling is an option – risky, but sometimes necessary. In the real-time combat phase, you ride your dragon to burn the Thread in the sky before it reaches the ground. Only through clever strategy, strong alliances, and quick decisions can you secure victory or face destruction.
