In The Evil Dead, you play as Ash inside a remote cabin in the woods, fighting an evil force that enters through the windows and can take over your friends. Once possessed, they turn into dangerous monsters that you must stop with weapons such as an axe or shovel. As your strength slowly fades, you collect points and try to make the Book of the Dead appear – only by burning it in the fireplace can the horror finally end.
