The Evil Wizard places the player in the role of a wizard who must navigate a text-based world. The game contains many errors in the text output, caused by the language barrier of the developer. The player must complete tasks and make decisions to progress in the game. A sequel, Evil Wizard II, was later released as a shoot 'em up.
