In "Fax", players answer questions in four categories: general knowledge, sports, history, and entertainment. With over 4800 questions and three difficulty levels, variety is guaranteed, while two timers increase the pressure – the top one shows the total round time as a bar, and the bottom one displays the score shrinking by the second. If the lower timer runs out, no points are awarded, and the next question appears. The round ends when the top bar is empty. Optionally, a cartoon appears after each answer, showing a character receiving either a dunce cap or a graduation hat – a wicked little touch that perfectly captures the game's tone.
