Gates of the Ancient delivers fast-paced 3D space action on the C64, surprising with smooth polygon graphics instead of flickering wireframes. You explore systems and galaxies linked by wormhole technology, upgrade your ship with new devices and ancient artifacts, and face pirates, aliens, and robots – or become a notorious pirate yourself. Each run is different, but with the codeword system you can carry your hard-earned possessions into your next game, steadily improving your ship and bringing you closer to the ultimate goal.
