In GP Tennis Manager, you take charge of the career of an aspiring tennis player with the goal of reaching the top of the world rankings. You start with a budget and select a rookie player from countries like France, Italy, or the USA, considering traits such as playing hand, stamina, stroke techniques, age, and height. In the management phase, you pay tournament entry fees, buy rackets, seek sponsors, and analyze opponents. After tournaments, you can choose to train or rest to improve form. Matches can be either automatically simulated or played manually. The C64 version features a top-down view, with players controllable in eight directions on the court. Before starting, you can adjust career length, difficulty level, and the number of players. In multiplayer mode, players manage their careers sequentially but can play matches simultaneously.
