"Hunt the Wumpus" is a text-based adaptation of the original game where the player hunts Wumpi in a cave system. The player can move through adjacent rooms, shoot arrows into neighboring rooms, check their remaining arrows, exit the cave (if near an exit), or view the instructions. The game ends if the player enters the same room as a Wumpus. Additional dangers include super bats that transport the player to another cave and bottomless pits that are fatal. Earthquakes can block or open passages. Hazards in adjacent rooms can be sensed but not precisely located.
