In I Play: 3D Tennis, you rise through the global tennis rankings as a pre-made or custom player, improving your skills like forehand, serve, and volley while earning prize money. Four modes are available: Singles Match, Singles Tournament, Grand Slam, and ATP Tour, though the last two require qualification. Defeating higher-ranked opponents boosts your ranking faster. The dynamic rear-view camera adjusts when approaching the net for realistic perspective. Player characters are large and smoothly animated, as are the crowd backgrounds. A mini-map and ability bar graphs are shown at the bottom of the screen.
