The Institute is a dark text adventure where you play as John, trapped in a nightmarish asylum surrounded by madness and manipulation. Taunted by doctors and plagued by drug-induced hallucinations, your only goal is to escape. Using a basic two-word parser, you explore your grim surroundings, collect clues and items from dream sequences, and uncover fragments of your own past. The focus lies on the surreal story and disturbing atmosphere rather than complex gameplay – unsettling, strange, and intense.
