„The Last Amazon“ tells the story of a young UNICEF worker who, in the early 1990s, traveled to the remotest rainforests of South America to carry out a vaccination program for isolated indigenous tribes. Armed with a rifle, a bulletproof vest, vaccines and syringes, and a small shortwave radio, she vanished without a trace for five years. Upon her return, she must face the challenges of her experiences.
