"Murder in the Monastery" opens with the arrival of investigator Claude le Merde, who – following his successful work on the Museum case – is now assigned to solve the murder of Enos Costello, the abbot of the Abbey of St. Isosceles. Equipped only with a police info sheet and a map of the abbey, he enters through the open main gate. It is 9:00 PM on October 31, 1963 – soon it will be the eve of All Souls' Day, and the case must be solved before it's too late.
