“Murder on the Atlantic” takes place in 1938 aboard the Bourgogne – a large French ocean liner carrying wealthy passengers and spies eager to capture emerging computer technology. As a detective, you investigate two mysterious murders that occurred on the ship. The game is entirely menu-driven – you choose which part of the ship to explore, search rooms, or read statements from up to forty suspects. You don't interact with them directly, but receive written information. As the investigation unfolds, you discover a decoder to decrypt secret messages. The puzzles involve finding specific code words. Once the solution is pieced together – using various physical documents that come with the game – the second part begins, where you must correctly answer a series of questions to win.
