In Nebraska Joe, the player must explore a maze built by a selfish person with the intent of making people get lost and die painfully in it. Instead of the usual ghosts, the maze is filled with spaceships, bouncing balls, spiders, small robots, and bats. Additionally, there are numerous traps that add variety. The main character, Nebraska Joe, is trapped in this dangerous maze. He must navigate his way through by jumping, climbing ladders, and collecting keys and equipment. The goal is to complete four levels and escape the maze – ideally alive.
