Necromancer places the player in the role of Illuminar, a wizard who uses the powers of light and nature to oppose Tetragorn and his dark creatures. His Wisp weapon creates protective trees that must be defended from Venom Spiders while spreading across dangerous spider larvae. Hatched Sith Spiders and powerful Hammerfists threaten the mission – only skilful movement and clever use of Illuminar's abilities can secure victory.
