Nippon transports you as Toshiro into a fantastical version of feudal Japan after reading a magic scroll. On a world map, you explore villages, talk to peasants — only with the right tone — trade with merchants and solve puzzles. Teleports, dangerous terrain and random encounters provide variety. Battles take place on locked screens where you must position yourself and manually strike. With experience, your stats increase, but food and sleep are also essential for survival.
