In Pod you guide the small hero on his quest to retrieve the stolen Magic Orb. A dragon has raided the village and taken the artifact once brought by Pod's grandfather – now it's up to you to save the village. The game scrolls sideways as you move through forests, collect diamonds, and avoid deadly obstacles. But Pod can't walk – he moves only by jumping. By alternating the up and down controls, you charge the jump gauge, allowing longer leaps the more it's filled. Along the way, birds and club-wielding giants threaten to drain your magic bar, and when it's empty, you lose one of your three lives. Touching fences or water, however, means instant death.
