Rail Boss

Commodore 64 · 1984 · WOR

Also known as: Railboss (US)

Publisher: Commodore Business Machines · Developer: Dave Rotor & Peter Wood

Rail Boss places you in the role of a railway pioneer tasked with building a line across the American West. You manage workers, provide protection against bandits and respond to threats that constantly endanger progress. Stations built along the route generate income to pay staff and acquire new resources, while external dangers demand constant vigilance. The appeal comes from developing under pressure, balancing risk and investment, and racing against forces eager to exploit every weakness – strategic, tense and driven by the struggle to push forward.
