In Rostam & Esfandiar you take on the role of the legendary hero from the Persian national epic Shahnameh. The game tells the dramatic story of the duel between Rostam and Esfandiar, born out of a power conflict between the King of Iran and the prince of Zabul. In classic adventure fashion, you explore locations, interact with characters, and influence the course of this tragic tale. With simple but colorful visuals, the game stands out as one of the rare digital adaptations of Persian literary heritage.
