On the island of Arulan, the curse of the Shades causes people to vanish and reappear in unexpected places. Armed with a sword, the hero explores dangerous areas, defeats monsters, avoids traps and searches for hidden doors and important objects. Battles and hazards steadily weaken him, while the curse may send him back without warning – only careful exploration can save the island.
