Space Panic challenges the player to eliminate cunning space monsters before the oxygen supply runs out. This is done by digging holes in platforms to lure enemies in and quickly refilling them to trap or defeat them. Some monsters require falling through multiple floors to be eliminated and can also hit each other. Points are awarded for each successful action, with bonus points for remaining oxygen. Additional lives are granted as the score increases.
