Stretch II simulates the financial challenges of supporting a family of four with the long-term goal of building enough wealth to retire. Regular paycheques must be balanced against taxes, groceries, telephone bills, insurance, mortgage payments, car expenses and household purchases, while education and other opportunities can improve income. Careful budgeting, sensible purchases and good management of cash, savings and debt are essential – exhausting all financial reserves brings the game to an end.
