In Striker you play as a young forward beginning his football career at the age of 18 in England's fourth division. Your goal is to help your team climb the leagues, win domestic and European trophies, or transfer to bigger clubs as your career progresses until retirement at age 34. Between matches you can train, discuss transfers with your agent or negotiate a better contract. During games the action focuses on the goal area, where you occasionally get the chance to take a shot. A moving bar represents the angle of your attempt and you must stop it at the right moment to shoot and hopefully score. After each match you receive a manager's report evaluating your performance.
