According to an African legend, a human baby was abandoned in the forest. He was found and raised by a female monkey named Kala. Years later he was returned to England as John Clayton, Lord of Greystoke, to claim his rightful inheritance. However, he occasionally returns to the wilderness to become Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle. Now is one of those occasions. Tarzan has returned to the jungle with his wife Lady Jane Greystoke, but their vacation comes to an end when Usanga, the evil chief of the Wamabo, kidnaps Jane to force Tarzan to retrieve the seven gems stolen from his tribal shrine. Tarzan has three days to find the gems or else Jane will be eaten by the tribe's pet, Sheeta the Panther. If Tarzan manages to find all seven gems and deliver them to Usanga within the deadline, Jane will be released.
