Upper Gumtree begins in a sleepy English village whose quiet routine is suddenly disrupted by the arrival of Professor Blowitovitz. What starts as an oddball premise soon grows into an adventure where you must prevent looming disaster, while time keeps passing even as you think, giving every decision extra weight. Its special appeal comes from the blend of British charm, eccentric menace, and unusual ideas such as helpful companions and a very flexible parser, giving the game a distinctive and memorable character.
