In Velocipede you take control of Mr. Megafat, who wants to reach the beach on his homemade bicycle, the Velocipede S.T.A., without walking a single step. As the screen scrolls sideways, you must avoid dangerous obstacles such as birds dropping fire and giant snails. Your bike is equipped with a plasma cannon and can also jump to defeat enemies or dodge them. Every collision breaks the bike and costs a life, though it can be repaired. A counter shows the remaining distance to the beach – and once you arrive, the next round begins with even tougher enemies. Speed and skill are the key to making it safely.
