„Wooden Ships and Iron Men“ transports the player to the era of great naval battles, where nations like Spain, Britain, the United States, and France fought for dominance over the seas. The thunder of broadsides mixes with the creaking of rigging as frigates maneuver into perilous positions. The outcome of battle depends on tactical decisions, as captains strive to gain the wind advantage and break through enemy lines. Legendary sailors like John Paul Jones aboard Bonhomme Richard, Admiral Nelson on H.M.S. Victory, and Lawrence of the Chesapeake set sail once again. With a simultaneous movement system, each turn remains uncertain, making every decision critical to victory or defeat.
