Wumpus II noticeably expands the idea of hunting a monster through a cave system and feels far more involved than the simple original concept. You move through connected rooms, judge distances and directions, and constantly decide whether it is better to shoot or retreat. That stronger focus on orientation and planning gives the game much of its appeal, because a single mistake can quickly lead to trouble. The result is a plain but engaging adventure that draws its strength mainly from tactics and imagination.
