Gotham City Impostors is a online-only multiplayer shooter set Gotham City, a city in the fictional DC comic universe and mostly known as Batman's home town. Many super hero (or super villain) impostors are at war with each other - just like Batman they don't have actual super powers, but use gadgets. nnThe fights are fast and action-oriented with three playing modes: team deathmatch, conquest and a capture-the-flag variant with special batteries. Like usually for shooters released at the time, the player unlocks upgrades while playing which can be used to make the own character stronger. There are four kinds of things that can be brought into battle: weapons , gadgets which considerably change how the player moves through the levels, fun facts (permanent boni like more explosive damage) and items which only change the optical appearance. While the first three are gained with upgrades, the latter can be bought with the in-game currency gained after matches.
