Cross Fire EX is a vertical shoot'em up for Sharp X68000, in an arcade style, with an emphasis on intense action and classic bullet patterns. You embody a pilot in the "Cross Fire EX" operation, an all-out attack mission against an enemy army dominating airspace and orbit. Throughout several vertical phases, you advance through formations of ships and mechanized defenses, collecting power-ups and support weapons while defeating bosses at the end of each level.
