Image consists of three short episodes, each with two different storylines. The two scripts for each episode are similar, featuring the same main female character and sharing many of the same scenes. All three episodes are rather minimalist, featuring only the protagonist and one female character, the aim always being to have sex with the latter. Gameplay generally consists of selecting verbs from command menus with different options and sometimes vast sub-menus of items. The sex scenes are handled through a point-and-click interface, with the player selecting an appropriate command and clicking on an on-screen object to interact with it.
