OverDriver is a doujin shoot'em up developed for the sharp x68000 in 1992. This game was part of the LOGIN software contest n.146. The game consist of 7 stages (rounds) , but there are 2 loops, with the second loop more difficult than the first one. ROUND 1: Dovita's Wood ROUND 2: Stormy Ocean ROUND 3: Deep Sea ROUND 4: Sand Valley ROUND 5: Dark Mountain ROUND 6: The Eclipse FINAL ROUND: Babel's Tower The unique feature of this shmup is the "hook"/"anchor" mechanics. Indeed your ship can shoot normal bullets and fire two hooks. The latter are essential to overcome some obstacoles and to defeat bosses. There are no power ups or bombs and the hitpoint is the blue sphere at the center of your ship.
