The Super Nintendo version of A Bug's Life is an unofficial (bootleg) release derived from the Mega Drive version. It keeps the same levels, but changes the controls and character behavior: A is used to jump, B to run, and both X and Y to throw berries. The gameplay is less responsive, requiring gradual acceleration to reach top speed, and the berry throw follows a higher arc, making it harder to hit certain enemies. In Hang By a Thread, it is possible to move faster with Dim by holding A. In the final level, the boss Hopper has different flight patterns and, in his last phase, starts chasing the player. Visually, it preserves the graphics with minor touch-ups, but includes sprite inconsistencies (such as the berry changing style during its animation). The audio uses a sound driver reused from Bonkers, and the backgrounds do not scroll. The intro is also different, showing Flik repeatedly flying on a dandelion seed.
