Protector and Y*A*S*I is a dual-cartridge for the Vectrex. It includes two games: Protector, a shoot 'em up heavily inspired by Defender, and Y*A*S*I, an acronym for Yet Another Space Invaders, inspired by Space Invaders. In Protector, the player flies over planets, destroys enemies, and protects the humanoids that the Landers are trying to abduct; if the humans are lost, the planet explodes and the difficulty increases significantly. Y*A*S*I, on the other hand, offers an Invaders-style variation with a raster display unusual for the Vectrex. The collection is often considered one of the console's major homebrew titles.
