A long time ago, ancient beings created the mighty Esper and set them against each other. According to legend, the Esper destroyed themselves and most of humanity in these battles. It seemed as if magic was lost forever. Many centuries later, Esper only existed in mythical tales. Until one day, an Esper trapped in the ice since the ancient wars is discovered. Suddenly there are reports of magic attacks on civilians. The imperial troops attack the population with magic-controlled MagiTek weapons. Apparently, magic still exists and the world is in danger again.
