This version of Space Invaders is based on the 1994 Space Invaders DX arcade game, but lacks the game's parody mode. What remains is the classic mode, which allows the player to choose the type of arcade cabinet (upright, black and white, etc.) as the background for the plot, as well as the two-player opponent mode. Counter mode is a split screen, with each player trying to survive and eliminate more intruders than the opponent.
