Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation features 15 missions covering the war between the Republic of Emmeria and the Federal Republic of Estovakia on the continent of Anean, north of Yuktobania. Cut-scenes between missions show how the player's actions influence the course of the war. Ace Combat 6 is above all arcade-oriented. As such, it is far from being a complicated simulation and features a simple gameplay system. Players can avoid enemy missiles by executing high-G turns, spins, barrels and other aerial acrobatics, without risking a dangerous stall.
