Ys X: Proud Nordics follows the red-haired adventurer Adol Christin and the proud Norman warrior Karja, who find themselves bound together by magical shackles known as "Mana Chains." Their journey takes place on the island of Öland, located in the northern reaches of Obelia Bay, where they must confront an immortal horde called the Griegr. In addition to classic mechanics, the Proud Nordics version introduces new abilities—such as "Mana Hold"—and a highly challenging timed dungeon known as Muspellheim. The story also features new characters, Canute and Astrid, and an expanded narrative centering on the island's mysteries and the conflict between the Normans and supernatural forces. This action RPG offers a revitalized adventure that emphasizes cooperation between Adol and Karja and provides an in-depth exploration of this fantastical Nordic world.
