Chipwits
Commodore 64 · 1985 · WOR
Chipwits is an educational game about programming a small robot called Chipwit. Chipwit is a small robot that needs to be programmed to perform tasks. The robot must navigate a series of semi-random mazes, trying to pick up the desired items while avoiding the other items that thrive through the maze in order to maximize its score. The player programs the Chipwit by creating action commands. These action commands contain an operator, which includes look, sing, smell, and move, and an argument, such as: B. what to look for or how far to move. Each action command can be either true or false, causing the chipwit's programming to result in a different action command. Gameplay allows for real-time debugging of Chipwit programming.
