Mystery Master: Murder by the Dozen casts you as a police detective solving twelve murders in the city of Micropolis. You interview witnesses, collect evidence, and analyze lab reports to uncover the clues you need. Every action – especially traveling between locations – adds time to the game clock. One to four players can compete, racing to solve the mystery first and in the least amount of time. After the case is introduced, players take turns selecting an option, receiving a clue number, and looking it up in the manual. When a player believes they've solved the case, they present their theory and check the complete solution. If it's 100% correct, they win and a new case begins. If any part is wrong, they're out and the others continue investigating.
