if 2 - Invitations from Fantastic Stories

Fujitsu FM Towns · 1993 · WOR

Publisher: Active Software · Developer: Active Software · Genre: Adults

IF 2 contains three separate scenarios, numbered 5, 6 and 7, following on from the first IF. There is no link between them. Among the special features, the fifth scenario deals with male homosexuality. The gameplay of IF 2 is similar to that of the previous game, although the concept of the story with its twists and turns is a little deeper and more complicated. There are more choices to be made, and they have a greater impact on the development of the story. The second episode, in particular, stands out for being more open-ended, but also ruthless and leading to premature endings if the player doesn't choose the right things to do and/or say.
